The Art of Playing
Play is a natural activity for people of all ages. We express ourselves and develop a sense of freedom through the use of our bodies. In my practice, adults and children are provided the opportunity to let their "inner play" out by using fine arts materials and/or spontaneous improvisation. I named my practice The Art of Playing because I believe the act of creativity allows us to engage in therapeutic moments of joy and spontaneity. We notice a difference in how we feel about ourselves, notably by finding our inner voice and being more in touch with how we feel in our bodies. Though the use of art, we view ourselves differently. Through the use of drama and improvisation, we become embodied.
